How It Works

The 20-0901-FL PCV kit mounts conveniently on the right-hand side of the engine bay. It runs inline with the 3/8" PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve. When the intake manifold pressure is at or above atmospheric pressure, the PCV "check" valve closes, preventing flow through the hose. However, during idling, cruising, and decelerating, the PCV hose will create a "metered" vacuum that helps draw out crankcase vapor, unspent fuel, and oil sludge that can accumulate after a high-load run.
