Now, a heads-up: these pads aren’t street legal in Europe due to their high friction rating, but if you're in a market where that doesn't matter, you can actually use them on the road. They start with a decent cold friction of 0.35µ at under 100°C, which means you can get some good everyday use out of them before they really heat up. Once you hit that 100°C mark, the performance kicks in and stays consistent all the way up to their max temp.

Compared to EBC's RP-X pads, the RP-1 has about a 25% lower friction coefficient across the temperature range, making them more suited for lighter cars or those without aggressive brake setups. If you’re driving something heavier or need a more aggressive bite, the RP-X might be the way to go.
